Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.

The platform declared this week that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that character re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and anime.

Escola will work alongside a number of new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, including head Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although this character is a important part of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a notable change in the timing of their first appearance, one that could indicate additional alterations to the story’s structure.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
