The imminent arrival of a trio of new casinos in New York City has become approved, sparking a debate over fiscal advantages against community impacts while betting participation surges across the United States.

An official gaming facility location board has endorsed a trio of proposed casino ventures—two in Queens plus one within borough of the Bronx. The panel found these ventures are projected to produce thousands of new jobs and generate billions of dollars of public funds in the next years.

An Ongoing Discussion: Economic Engine or Predatory Practice?

The Temporary Nature of Casino Jobs
