Our Task Consists of Only Killing' - The Way Sudan's Brutal Fighting Force Perpetrated a Massacre

Combatants smirk as they travel on the bed of a utility vehicle, speeding by a line of nine lifeless forms and driving towards the descending Sudanese sunset.

"See such accomplishment. See this act of mass destruction," a combatant exclaims.

The individual grins as he directs the camera on his own face and his companion combatants, their paramilitary identification clearly shown: "The victims shall all die in this manner."

These individuals are celebrating a massacre that aid workers believe killed more than two thousand people in the African city of al-Fashir last month.

An Urban Center Severed from the World

After maintaining the city under encirclement for almost two years, from the summer the militia proceeded to consolidate its position and blockade the leftover inhabitants.

Satellite images reveal that fighters commenced to erect a enormous sand wall - a raised earthen wall - around the boundaries of al-Fashir, blocking roads and preventing relief supplies.

During the encirclement worsened, seventy-eight civilians were murdered in an RSF strike on a place of worship on mid-September, while the United Nations stated dozens more were slain in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon attacks on a displacement camp in the autumn.

Disturbing Video Shows Weaponless People Gunned Down

At dawn on October 26th the militia defeated the last army defenses and seized the main base in the community, the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division, as the military withdrew.

One of the most disturbing footage to emerge and studied showed the aftermath of a mass killing at a campus structure on the western of the community, where scores dead bodies were seen scattered over the area.

An elderly individual wearing a traditional garment sat isolated surrounded by the bodies. The individual rotated to look as a militiaman carrying with a firearm walked descending the staircase facing the victim. pointing his firearm, the shooter discharged a single bullet at the individual, who collapsed to the surface lifeless.

"Why is this one still living," one combatant exclaimed. "Execute him."

Orbital photography captured on 26 October seemed to confirm that killings were furthermore performed on the roads of al-Fashir, as reported by a study issued by the university analysis team.

A key eyewitness who spoke said the individual had observed "multiple of our relatives being executed - the victims were gathered in a specific area and all killed."

RSF Leaders Attempt to Conduct Reputation Management

During the period that followed the killings, RSF leader conceded that his fighters had perpetrated "violations" and stated the events would be investigated.

Part of the apprehended was following a investigation recording his murders. Carefully choreographed and modified video published on the paramilitary's formal social media platform depict him being taken into a cell at a jail on the perimeter of al-Fashir.

Meanwhile, the RSF and associated online channels commenced trying to alter the story.

Posts presenting its militiamen providing assistance to civilians were disseminated by several users, while the force's public relations unit published several recordings claiming to show the humane treatment of government prisoners of war.

In spite of the online initiative being employed by the militia, their activities in the city have sparked global condemnation.
